Edgar Davids just debuted the much-anticipated reissue of the Nike Total 90 III, which was first announced to be returning to the game earlier this year.
The Dutch legend wore the shoe on-pitch at Travis Scott’s 'Secreto Maximus' street football tournament hosted at ComplexCon's ‘Cactus Colosseum’.
The tournament itself was reminiscent of the iconic Nike ‘Secret Tournament’ ad from 2002 – also known as ‘Scorporio KO’ or ‘The Cage’ – where Theirry Henry, R9 and Francesco Totti, as well as Davids, took to the pitch to flex their skills in anticipation for the Korea / Japan World Cup.
‘Secreto Maximus’ – a spin on Scott’s ‘Circus Maximus’ world tour title and Nike’s ‘Secret Tournament’ – was the perfect playground to showcase the return of the T90. Nike announced earlier this year they’d be re-upping lifestyle versions of the cult classic in three colourways, including the white and grey silhouette Davids wore at the weekend.
Although there is no exact date for when the T90 IIIs will drop, given their run out at the weekend let's hope Nike give the fans what they want sooner rather than later.
