Nike aren’t done riding the nostalgia wave, with reports circulating the Swoosh is set to bring back the Hypervenom Phantom I.

Arriving in 2013 as the successor to the Total 90, the Hypervenom silo had big boots to fill. But courtesy of its technological innovations, bold colourways and link-ups with some of the game’s biggest ballers at the time, the Hypervenom achieved cult-like status before its regeneration in 2015.

The Hypervenom Phantom I was initially built around advancing agility, with a new soleplate and NikeSkin upper redefining how players moved with and without the ball.

The likes of Wayne Rooney, Daniel Sturridge and Robert Lewandowski all repped the model, bagging goals and doing so in style. It's rumoured for the re-release, Nike will nod to the iconic OG colour palette with a 'Black/Citrus' look, last seen on their Hypervenom-inspired Phantom VZN back in 2020.

While finer details aren’t yet known, the Hypervenom’s highly-anticipated return, will no doubt make as much noise as it did when it first dropped 10 years ago.
