Nike has unveiled a brand-new ‘Blueprint’ pack, dropping upgraded footwear for athletes ahead of the Paris Olympics this summer – including a new and improved Mercurial.
The Blueprint pack is all about Nike Air. For the latest Mercurial – Nike’s most premium boot design to date – a four millimetre Nike Air layer has been added to improve stopping and acceleration, on and off the ball.
The boots arrive in a sleek colourway of white, orange and royal blue. The marbled Swoosh is a subtle nod to Nike founder Bill Bowerman, who used to dot the iconic logo onto athlete’s shoes to avoid the weight of extra fabric.
An iridescent ‘Air’ logo wraps around the heel, with a matching metallic soleplate flashing orange and blue details for a stunning overall look.
These boots were designed by the best, for the best. With the Olympics fast approaching, it won’t be long before we see these take to the pitch for the first time.
The ‘Blueprint’ pack drops on July 3 via the Nike website and select retailers, with another colourway expected to drop just before the world’s greatest athletes touchdown in Paris.
