Nike and Patta have just linked up again for a strong new capsule collection entitled “Publicity. Publicity. Wohooooow!”.
The phrase, “Publicity. Publicity. Wohooooow!,” refers to the spontaneous “happenings” of 1960s avant-garde artists, like Amsterdam’s Robert Jasper Grootveld. The Patta crew have created a collection that stems from self-awareness and irony.
“Traveling. Visiting each other. Getting to know each other. For us, that is where the collaboration between Nike and Patta started,” de Waal noted about the collection, which comprises of technical but casual sportswear across an extensive range, which contains some bold motifs on coach jackets and sweatpants.
The standout element of the collaboration is the new collaborative sneaker – an Air Max 90 and Air Max 95 hybrid. “Both silhouettes are among our favorites,” said Van de Waal, “The Air Max 90 is a robust classic, and the 95 has always felt like a futuristic design; combining both forms a mix between classic and more technical design.”
