From March 22 to April 15, Nike will be hosting 'Nike: ON AIR,' a design workshop series in Paris, London, New York, Seoul, Shanghai and Tokyo that will get Air Max lovers involved in the design process behind some of the world's most iconic silhouettes.

The programme allows participants to create their ultimate version of an Air Max using ten templates for their city that will "encompass briefing, concept building and mood boarding stages of design."

Each city will produce unique sneakers based on their local surroundings.

In each city, the design brief begins by looking at the local surroundings. Participants are asked to envision a new Air Max for their respective city, taking inspiration from what it means to them and their experiences in it, with guest lecturers offering advice on materials, manufacturing and more.

After participants submit their Air Max to a judging panel, their concepts will be turned into 3D designs that will go to a global vote, which could then lead to the most-voted design being put into production and made available at a later date.
