Ajax donned some of the waviest warm-up apparel we’ve seen in a long time ahead of their game against PSV on the weekend to celebrate 25 years of Amsterdam Pride.
Despite losing 4-0 and missing out on the Johan Cruyff Shield, Ajax had an important message to share: ‘Love Unites’ – with the likes of Haller, Klaassen and Tadić had the phrase printed boldly across their chests, with the Ziggo sponsor cleverly weaved into the design.
The bespoke shirts represent every colour of the rainbow to spread a message of positivity and friendship – with each of the Ajax players wore the number 25 on the back to represent the 25th anniversary of the event.
Style over substance? Not when Ajax are involved.
