Kelechi Iheanacho just made English football history.
Last night in Leicester's FA Cup 3rd Round clash with Fleetwood Town, the Nigerian striker entered the record books by the first ever goal to be awarded via Video Assistant Refereeing.
VAR was used to assist referee Jonathan Moss to award the goal at the King Power Stadium after initially being disallowed for offside.

The decision took one minute and ten seconds between Leicester's goal being disallowed and VAR overturning, with many people still on the fence over whether or not implementing the system is a good idea.
VAR is already used in Germany's Bundesliga, Italy's Serie A and other competitions, but is yet to join the Premier League. After last night's successful trial, we could be seeing it sooner rather than later.
