New Era has always been ahead of the game when it comes to elevating sport through a lifestyle lens, and they’ve made their biggest moves into football yet with a new season collection in partnership with some of the biggest clubs in Europe.

There’s no denial that the beautiful game is more influential in fashion culture right now than at any other point in its history. The world’s biggest players are sitting front row at fashion weeks, club kits are dropping in collaboration with the most progressive streetwear brands in culture, and new generation fans have made stadiums more fashion-forward than ever before.

While sneakers, streetwear and jerseys have all been a focal point for the football-fashion explosion, headwear has always been a feature of terrace fashion through the ages – so it’s only right for New Era to channel that corner of culture in a new collection.

The iconic brand has formally partnered with six of Europe’s biggest clubs – Manchester United, Chelsea, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, AC Milan and AS Roma – to rework some of New Era’s most storied products including adjustable caps, bucket hats and knitted beanies in the visual identity of each team.

Each product is a tribute to the passion and vibrancy of contemporary fan culture, so New Era tapped some of the most influential fans from each club’s community to don the pieces for the very first time.

From music artists to content creators and athletes to stylists, each club is repped by individuals who showcase the diversity of contemporary football culture. Each individual was shot in front of a hand-painted mural, paying tribute to the fan flags typically seen in the stands on European away days.

Manchester United were fronted by broadcaster Joe Thomlinson and music artist Akemi Fox; Chelsea by content creators and community leaders Mayowa Quadri and Anita Abayomi; Newcastle United by barber Sam Bentham and DJ Cicely Grace; Tottenham Hotspur by rapper Formz and radio DJ Jess Iszatt; AC Milan by creative Ilaria Grande and creator Harry Crawford; AS Roma by skateboarder Christian Kappler and digital creator Camilla Sentuti.

No matter what your club’s colours are, there’s no denying this collection is keeping some of the most iconic teams in the game ahead of the rest.

New Era’s full collections with each club are available now via neweracap.eu.
