Nike have just dropped off FCBarcelona’s third kit for the 2019/20 season, and they’ve served up a wavey, aquamarine shirt that arrives dripping in 90’s nostalgia.
Paying homage to the iconic Kappa kit from the 1996/97 season, when Barca brought home a trio of trophies to the city, the teal kit features an all-over throwback graphic tipped with blaugrana details and a print inspired by Barcelona’s coat of arms, inspired by Saint George’s Cross, the patron saint of Catalonia.
Like all Nike’s third kits this season, the shirt comes complete with the Nike ‘Futura’ logo, as well as featuring a throwback collar to round off one of the coldest kits the Swoosh have produced this season.
“When you see this color, you think of Ronaldo, Guardiola, Stoichkov, Luis Enrique…so many great players” says Barça center-back Gerard Piqué. “It will be a pleasure to wear this kit and bring our fans joy with victories both at home and abroad.” Check out more imagery of the kit below.
