Nike Football just dropped an entirely new boot ahead of the new season and it promises to be a game changer.
The Nike PhantomVSN has been engineered for "positionless" attacking players – the type who float through the final third and take decisive action to win a game.
Everything about the PhantomVSN is new and the boot has been built from the inside out. An all-new Quadfit construction conforms to fit any foot and makes the boot match-ready from right out of the box – unlike other boots, it doesn't need to broken in.
The boot also sees Nike introduce a laceless concept for the first time – at least that's what they want you to think. The PhantomVSN debut's Nike's "Ghost Lace" technology, which sees the one-pull construction lace tucked away for an even striking surface.
The PhantomVSN is also a boot built for the perfect first touch, prompted by the boot’s dominant visual cue, the medial triangle. Nike Sport Research Lab testing concluded the lower on the triangle one collects the ball, the higher the degree of control for initiating the attack.
The long list of Nike players planning to play in the PhantomVSN includes Philippe Coutinho, Mallory Pugh, Kevin De Bruyne, Fran Kirby, and Leon Goretzka.
