Foot Locker Europe has just unveiled the Nike Tuned (TN) Brixton, a new sneaker inspired by one of London's most exciting and culturally rich communities.
Following the hugely popular TN Saint-Denis (Paris) that dropped earlier this year toasting to the 93, the TN Brixton salutes the the melting pot of cultures, ethnicities and artistic expression that come from Brixton's residents – with an unparalleled vibe and culture that dates back to the arrival of the Windrush generation in the mid-1900’s.
The model's design is inspired by Brixton’s visual identity, featuring the vibrant colours synonymous with the area’s historic street art. Brixton’s eye-catching murals, painted by local artists, are reflected in the new TN sneakers through graffiti style graphics overlain onto a vibrant yellow, orange and blue colourway.
Susie Kuhn, President, Foot Locker EMEA and GM Foot Locker Europe, said: “After the huge success of our TN Saint-Denis sneaker, we’re thrilled to exclusively launch the Nike Tuned Brixton design, shining a light on another of Europe’s culturally powerful communities.
The sneakers are a fantastic visualisation of Brixton’s diversity, and that of South London more generally. Community is incredibly important to us at Foot Locker, and that’s why we feel so privileged to celebrate an area that is home to such a proud, bold and rich group of cultures.”
The Nike Tuned Brixton is available exclusively at Foot Locker Brixton now, before then launching at Foot Locker stores and online across Europe from the July 28. Get a closer look at the model below.
