adidas Predator mania has well and truly taken over the game in 2024 but the Three Stripes aren't done yet, as the German sportswear brand are bringing back the cult classic ACUB Predator Absolutes.
Both the Predator Absolutes and ACUBs were originally released ahead of the 2006 World Cup and were famously worn by David Beckham during the tournament - that free kick against Ecuador lived rent free in every England fans' head for years - as well as during Goldenballs' final season with the Galácticos.
The trainers merged the instantly recognisable upper of the Predator Absolute boots with the bouncy sole of adidas’ A3 trainers. The result? A football x streetwear grail years ahead of its time.
The OG trainers came in a myriad of colourways, from classic combos of red, black and silver, to a special-edition Beckham version in white with black and gold details. Whether adidas will recreate those colourful concoctions or a range of brand new looks is something we’ll have to wait to see.
Though the relaunch of the ACUB Preds hasn’t been officially announced yet, an unveiling and release date could be on the way very soon. Keep it locked to VERSUS for all the updates.
