JD Sports is set to head across the pond after negotiating a deal to acquire U.S. sneaker retailer Finish Line for nearly £400 million.
The move, worth a cool $558 million, will mean that JD will have over 1,500 shops worldwide, which ensures that the company will steal a march on all of their other competitors bar Foot Locker - who have 1,800 stores globally.
It's a big shakeup for the US market, who will be now able to access JD exclusives and plenty of sneakers that aren't as readily available in the U.S far more easily, as well as finally being able to get their hands on JD's iconic string bag.
