Fresh from two decisive knockout round wins in the UEFA Champions League and the Coppa Italia, Inter Milan and Nike have released a pair of limited-edition trainers in the brand’s iconic Air Max 97 silhouette.

The Italian streetwear staple is redecorated in Nerazzurri blue and gold, highlighting Milan’s style as a fashion capital, while also cementing Inter’s newfound role as a tastemaker in the worlds of fashion, culture and football.

The black shoe is striped in royal blue, with hints of gold accenting the Nike Swoosh. While the collaborative design only includes the Nerazzurri colourway, a limited ‘Friends and Family’ drop of 200 trainers see the Nike Swoosh on the shoe’s tongue replaced with a golden Inter crest.

Styled in clothes inspired by the 90s and early 2000s to fit the style of the shoe, Inter stars Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez, and Nicolò Barella modelled the trainers to visualise the drop.

The Inter Air Max 97s are available to shop at Aw Lab stores.
