New Balance and Stone Island have unveiled that they will be collaborating as part of a long-term partnership later this year.

With New Balance set for another busy year of collaborations with the likes of BAPE, Snow Peak and Casablanca and extending their influence within football with high-profile signings such as Bukayo Saka and Raheem Sterling, the collab with the technical-wear experts is yet another brilliant chess move from the brand.

The partnership is set to see the two heavyweight brands collaborate on performance innovation in order to amplify both brands' preference for premium quality.

On the announcement, Carlo Rivetti, Stone Island president and creative director, said: “There are only a limited number of brands that can be referred to as iconic. Stone Island and New Balance have shown that they are of this breed. They are so because of the consistency throughout their history, their strong vision and endless passion put into product making, always with the aim of serving the end users. With no concession to complacency. Stone Island and New Balance have shown that they are of this breed.”
