adidas and Arsenal have linked up with London-based brand Maharishi to create one of the cleanest lifestyle capsules the game has seen in recent years.
The collection brings together London-centric streetwear and adidas performance clothing to one of football’s most iconic clubs, boasting apparel for both diehard Gunners and fashion-forward fans.
Combining the best of adidas pre-match and travel items with Maharishi’s utilitarian aesthetic, Arsenal’s club identity is artfully blended to create a unique and modern uniform that features a GORE-TEX jacket and trousers, an anthem top, pre-match and lifestyle tees, a hoodie and a super-limited run of adidas Spezials.
The range, designed in collaboration between adidas and Maharishi, displays a bespoke camouflage pattern – ‘DPM: Bonsai Dragon Scales’ – inspired by the forthcoming Lunar Year of the Dragon. Since launching in 1994, Maharishi has incorporated Ukiyo-e-inspired embroidery across all designs, this time using the iconic appliqué technique to celebrate club iconography such as Arsenal’s cannon and a new incarnation of Gunnersaurus.
The collection will be worn by both the men’s and women’s team from 28 October, with the former wearing the pre-match jersey and anthem jacket ahead of their Premier League game against Sheffield United at Emirates Stadium.
