Paris-based knitwear specialists MIASIN released one of the best knit jersey collections of all time, reinventing football’s greats for winter weather.
The French label is known for cozy kits, transforming classic jerseys into fashion statements. Previous projects range from collaborations with grassroots clubs to extensive recreations of Inter, PSG and Arsenal shirts from the ‘90s and ‘00s. This time, they’ve done it again.
The brand dropped 21 heavy-knit jumpers, each stitched with the tell-tale emblems, colours and namesets of some of football’s most coveted kits. Some are perfect remakes, from a Ronaldinho-era PSG jersey to Newcastle’s iconic 1995/96 away strip – complete with ‘Miasin Brown Ale,’ of course.
Others are loosely inspired, drawing on colours, crests and icons of the game to get the message across. Barcelona’s mid ‘90s Kappa jerseys make an appearance, with the bold turquoise base and blaugrana details translating perfectly in the form of a fluffy jumper.
Japan’s instantly recognisable three-legged crow emblem arrives in home and away knits, one in yellow and one in white.
Other kits-turned-knit in the collection include a Pavel Nedvěd Juventus remake from 2002, a classic Bayern Munich jumper and Jubilo Iwata’s abstract 95/96 kit with redesigned Nestle and Kit Kat sponsors.
The complete collection is available to purchase now via the MIASIN website.
