Kappa and Acne Studios have officially released a 22-piece capsule after teasing their collaboration just last week.
The release blends both brands’ aesthetics to produce, what is arguably, one of the cleanest comprehensive collections the football-fashion space has ever seen.
The 22-piece range includes denim, fitted layers, tracksuits as well as a pair of foldover-tongue astros. It wouldn’t be a football-inspired range without a jersey, though, and this link-up has blessed us with three.
Taking inspiration from ‘90s football aesthetics, the striped jerseys arrive in three different colourways – ‘Anthracite’, ‘Grey’ and ‘Pink’ – and are available as both long and short sleeve options. Towards the hem of each shirt, the stripes morph into flames, a design motif also found on the reimagined Bowlina bag – a staple from the Swedish label.
The duo tapped trip-hop pioneer Tricky to front the campaign, who found fame in the early ‘90s with Massive Attack. The Bristolian was spotted sitting front row last month at Acne Studios’ Paris Fashion Week show, wearing the then unreleased pink Kappa jersey.
Acne Studios is already one of the biggest brands in the luxury space, known for bold designs and some of the best accessories on the market. Kappa is a superpower in its own right, redefining the intersection of football and fashion with runway-ready kits and pitch-perfect collaborations with streetwear giants like Palace and Slam Jam. As a result, this drop was always destined to deliver.
The Acne Studios x Kappa collaboration is available now via the Acne Studios website.
