Ian Wright is launching a new two-part docu-series that will celebrate the impact of black footballers in Britain called ‘Out of Their Skin’.
The new, two-part series arrives at an apt time in English footballing history, with Viv Anderson becoming the first black English player to make his debut for the Three Lions 40 years ago.

‘Out of Their Skin’ will feature appearances England manager Gareth Southgate, Ashley Cole, Les Ferdinand and Paul Ince, who will offer unique insights into English sporting heritage and how the culture of the game has changed with a series of new interviews. which will explore the progress made by ethnic minority footballers across five decades up to the present day.
The docu-series will provide personal accounts from some of English football’s black pioneers such as Paul Canoville, John Barnes and Paul Ince alongside accounts from new generation players such as Rhian Brewster and Raheem Sterling, who will provide a fresh look at the challenges still being faced in 2018.
'Out of Their Skin' will be broadcast next Tuesday 27 Nov 2018 at 10pm on ITV4.
