Nike's largest ever investment in women-specific research shines bright in the brand's latest federation kits, with England's drops taking centre stage.  

The England National Team Collection is inspired by the Art Deco movement and design of the legendary Wembley Stadium, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.

The home kit features an off-white colour scheme modelled after the original Wembley’s chalky white brick exterior in 1923, with the colours also paying homage to the 1984 England women’s team - the country’s first women’s team assembled for a major tournament. Meanwhile, the away kit brings in the first expression of blue in the team’s history - keen jersey fanatics will be getting some serious World Cup 1990 vibes from this shirt - with its geometric pattern also a nod to the Art Deco movement.

But perhaps the most striking feature of the latest England drops is the lack of white shorts in light of period concerns expressed at last year's UEFA Women's Euros. Both navy and light-blue shorts will no doubt help players to feel more confident when playing whilst on their periods, and along with the colour changes, Nike is offering players their latest Leak Protection: Period short - an innovation that will be integrated into the Pro short they know and love.

Both kits are also constructed using Nike's latest material innovations, designed to help athletes stay cool, comfortable and move easier. Both kits feature Nike DRI-FIT ADV technology — the brand's latest advanced-performance material innovation engineered for the body in motion. And prioritises mobility, breathability and sustainability by leveraging the latest advanced body-mapping technology.

Along with breathtaking design and state of the art technology, all 13 federation kits - including England's - are made of 100 percent recycled polyester from recycled plastic bottles. With every crest, Swoosh and trim also made of 100 percent Nike Grind — a first for a national team kit.

England's latest kit will be available to purchase via nike.com as well as selected retailers from 5 June.
