Spanish creative studio Equipo FC has joined forces with Under Armour to drop a capsule that throws it back to the Middle Ages.

The collective specialises in football, constantly dropping street-ready kits and the occasional office siren-style shirt with Zidane and Ronaldinho printed on the front.

Last year, their kit collaboration with Kappa broke the internet, bringing a touch of Italian charm to the Spanish studio’s signature style. This time, Equipo’s bringing chainmail back with a footy twist.

Highlighting the ‘armour’ in Under Armour, the collaboration includes a football kit and a T-shirt with touches of Medieval influence. Inspired by the armour of knights and 12th century warriors, the tee features a metal UA logo on the front. A knight on horseback is printed on the reverse, with the slogan ‘wear your armour, for any battle.’

The kit is one of the best Equipo FC has ever produced, with subtle black stripes and a simple V-neck. ‘Equipo FC’ is written in white, gothic letters – a stark contrast on the blacked-out jersey. Reflective details take the shirt to a new level, with ‘EFC’ printed within the stripes and ‘Under Armour’ underlapping the collective’s name.

On the back ‘EFC’ is printed again in gothic script, above a graphic of a falling knight in shining armour branded with the Equipo FC logo.

The limited-edition drop is available to purchase now on the Equipo FC website.
