VERSUS and adidas joined forces to celebrate the FIFA Women’s World Cup with a first-of-its-kind ‘Hall of Game’ exhibition and live panel discussion with two of the biggest names in English women’s football: Mary Phillip and Kelly Smith.

The Three Stripes’ flagship store on Oxford Street was transformed into an interactive exhibition space that showcased the teams and players set to take this summer’s Women’s World Cup by storm.

The likes of Jamaica’s Drew Spence, Sweden’s Stina Blackstenius and the USA’s Trinity Rodman were immortalised in a collection of never-before-seen VERSUS captions that adorned jerseys, banners and flags as part of the Women’s World Cup display.

Along with a nod to some of the best players in the game right now, VERSUS inducted Phillip and Smith to ‘The Hall of Game’ and chopped it up with the icons for a live podcast recording of ‘The Future of Football’.

Hosted by VERSUS’ very own Mayowa Quadri, Phillip and Smith spoke about what it means to be considered trailblazers in the women’s game, gender equality in football, what it’s like to represent your country at a World Cup and their predictions for this summer’s tournament; Phillip has her money on Les Bleues but Smith thinks the Germans can win it all if the USA fail to live up to the ‘three-peat’ hype.

Along with the panel discussion, Lil C made sure to control the night’s vibes on the decks whilst Jameson and WOW HYDRATE kept the community hydrated in between games of FIFA 23 and getting megged by World Champion freestyler Harriet Pavlou.

Shoutout to those who rolled through with some of the waviest kits in the game, Wales Bonner would have been proud.
