As football and fashion continue to converge, global streetwear brand UNDEFEATED have taken their first steps into the beautiful game by launching an unexpected partnership with Championship outfit Birmingham City.

Founded in Los Angeles back in 2002, UNDEFEATED have been a vanguard for streetwear culture since their inception and have collaborated with the likes of Patta, Champion and Bape over the years. So to say their affiliation with The Blues, a club founded in 1875 and one that’s deeply woven into the history of English football, is a surprising link-up would be an understatement. Nonetheless, it’s a link-up the rest of the football world should be excited by.

In a recent club statement, Birmingham City announced that their training wear will now be adorned with UNDFTD’s iconic five-strike logo – one that symbolises a series of defeated opponents – as well as on both of the club’s Men’s and Women’s kits for the upcoming 23/24 season.

It will be the first time in the club’s history that the same brand will appear on the Men’s and Women’s jerseys simultaneously – an encouraging step towards parity in club infrastructure.

As expected, the collaboration will also see a streetwear collection that includes a hoodie, strapback cap, and a T-shirt, that take on the club’s simple yet iconic colour palette of blue and white.

This partnership won’t solely be limited to clothing though, as it’s also been announced that UNDFTD will creatively direct future strategies for Birmingham City’s marketing and merchandise projects.

The streetwear collection is now available exclusively via UNDFTD for a limited period, ending on Sunday 30th July, with training and playing kit set to be announced in the coming days.
