adidas and Newcastle United have released their new home kit for the 2024/25 season, marking the return of their iconic partnership with a trip down memory lane.
The club teased the launch of the kit on social media with a black and white video narrated by Alan Shearer, merging past, present and future together by cutting between shots of retro adidas x NUFC kits, archival footage and the new jersey itself.
The long-awaited kit arrives in Newcastle’s signature black and white, inspired by the Magpies’ 2002/03 kit. Three black stripes cover the front of the jersey, complete with a black and white V-neck collar similar to the original version from 20 years ago.
On the back, Newcastle’s retro crest is stamped on the collar, nodding to the club’s history and roots in the city whilst creating new classics for the next generation. The full look includes black shorts and socks for a sleek look.
After the Tyneside club announced its new partnership with adidas last year, reuniting with the Three Stripes after 14 years, Magpie fans have been waiting to see what their first kit of the new era would look like. With 15 years of archives to pull from, adidas did not disappoint.
The kit is available to purchase on the adidas website, Newcastle’s online store and select retailers now.
