adidas and Argentina have signed a new kit deal, with the German sportswear giants continuing their partnership with the world champions through 2038.

With clubs and countries swapping kit manufacturers like Panini stickers, La Albiceleste x adidas is providing the beautiful game with some much needed stability – 14 years to be exact. The duo’s relationship goes way back, with The Three Stripes designing some of the nation’s most iconic kits of the past few decades.

The country’s signature blue and white stripes are always a hit, but it was those dark blue away shirts and eye-catching goalkeeper kits from the ‘80s and ‘90s that spring to mind when the adidas trefoil and AFA crest come together.

After back-to-back trophy lifts in adidas kits, Argentina will be looking to create more history with the brand over the next decade, starting with this year’s Copa América. With the next generation of Buenos Aires ballers breaking through, adidas could be cooking up some all-timers for years to come.
