adidas and Jamaica have released new home, away and pre-match kits, just in time for summer sun and the festival circuit.

The island’s most recent kits – designed by Grace Wales Bonner – were an instant hit amongst Jamaicans and fashion lovers alike. The JFF’s new look is another bright and bold banger, with traditional motifs and nods to the country’s history spanning the entire collection.

Each kit features a different colour base reflecting the colours of the Jamaican flag: yellow for home, black for away and green for the pre-match. The national bird and flower – the doctor bird and lignum vitae – decorate the kit, flanked by a geometric, tribal graphic that mimics the flag and its distinctive cross.

The nature-inspired design arrives subtly on the home kit in a jacquard print, whilst the away stands out in green and yellow against a dark backdrop. The team nicknames – ‘Reggae Girlz’ and ‘Reggae Boyz’ – are stitched below the back collar on both kits, completing the collection.

After she debuted the new away kit in the studio a few weeks ago, dancehall hitmaker Shenseea features in the floral-heavy kit launch alongside Reggae Girlz Khadija Shaw, Becky Spencer and Drew Spence.

The new kits are available to purchase on the adidas website and select retailers now.
