adidas and Major League Soccer have dropped vintage-inspired third kits for five clubs, bringing ‘70s and ‘80s vibes to the 2024 season.
The ‘Archive Collection’ reimagines Inter Miami, LAFC, LA Galaxy, Sporting KC and Portland Timbers’ kits with retro design cues, drawing from their own club histories and the cities they represent.
Inter Miami’s new kit goes full Vice City, with the city name printed across the chest in an Art Deco font. The teal stripes and orange details nod to the Miami Dolphins and their iconic NFL jerseys.
Sporting KC’s jersey throws it back to the Kansas City Wizards days, complete with the club’s original badge, whilst Portland Timbers burgundy number with mustard yellow, swirling print pays homage to club legend Clive Charles.
LAFC’s kit arrives in 1970s classic shades of brown, and LA Galaxy’s ‘Retrograde’ jersey plays on the club’s name, with stars splitting the dark teal and black shirt down the middle.
The collection also features a matching anthem jacket and a pair of Gazelles, giving fans the opportunity to go full 20th century chic for the second half of the season.
The Archive collection is available to purchase now via the MLS online store.
