Manchester United are reportedly in talks over a new £70 million-a-season shirt sponsor deal with their Chevrolet sponsorship set to end in December.
Chevrolet have been a mainstay on United's shirts since the 2014-15 season, with the car manufacturers' logo dividing opinion among fans down the years.
The current £64m-a-year contract was the largest shirt sponsorship deal in the game. Despite it being emblazoned on United jerseys in an altogether bleak era in the club's history, it hasn't put off new sponsors coming in to trump the current world-record deal.
As reported by The Daily Mail, a 'mystery' American software company is the leading candidate to take over from the end of 2021, with Ed Woodward currently in negotiations with a new partner.
Blessed with clean sponsor templates such as Vodafone and Sharp in the past, United fans will be hoping for a much cleaner sponsorship ahead of the 2021-22 season, with the club looking set to feature in the Champions League again after a strong domestic campaign.
