Arriving just after their wider federation collections, Nike have saved the best until last with their 2022 World Cup Home and Away kits for South Korea, which arrives with one of the cleanest capsule collections of the year.

South Korea’s Home kit lands in a fiery red with a tiger-stripe sleeve graphic to represent strength and power, while the Away jersey symbolises Taegeuk – the symbol found on the Korean flag – that represents national pride and balance between heaven and earth.

The Korean Home kit centres on the motif of Dokkaebi, a fiery moniker representing the nation’s fierce mentality amplified by vibrant Global Red and a tiger-stripe sleeve graphic representing strength and power along with a clean, black collar.

The away kits’ Taegeuk motif represents national pride and the balance between heaven (blue) and earth (red). Striking, brush stroke effects run all over the black base of the jersey in red blue and yellow, completing one of the most eye-catching shirt drops of 2022.

Both Home and Away kits are rounded out with a pride emblem that spells out the country’s name in Korean on the rear collar, with a clean, white pre-match jersey also landing in the capsule.

The collection is spotlighted in a slick new lookbook, produced by South Korean creative studio, Team First Football Club. TFFC collaborated with a special artist goodnewsinthemorning (gnim) who upcycles old football apparel into wavy new pieces. ‘gnim’ remade all the pants, skirts and accessories with old items from previous South Korea collections and football boots.
