Adidas and Bayern Munich have unveiled a red and white home kit for the 2023/24 season, tapping into the club’s archives to revive an old classic.

Paying homage to the club’s home kit in its first season in the top flight, the shirt features a crisp, white base capped with red sleeves. Inside the collar, the message ‘Rot & Weiß ein Leben lang’ – translated to ‘red and white for life’ – references the club’s bylaws that home kits must feature red and white.

This kit is all about the details. A jacquard print resembles tiger stripes, nodding to the stripes the club has become associated with in recent years. ‘FC Bayern München’ is subtly embossed on the sleeves and red piping that decorates the sides and back hem of the jersey. On the back, the club’s motto ‘Mia San Mia’ is written on the collar.

Lisa Datz, Senior Product Manager at adidas Football, said: “The combination of red and white represents the identity of FC Bayern Munich - and has done so for more than a century. These colours represent pride, unwavering confidence, and great triumphs.”

The new kit will be worn for the first time against RB Leipzig on 20 May. The jersey is available to purchase at FC Bayern stores, select adidas retailers, and on the adidas website.
