adidas have unveiled a Manchester United x Stone Roses lifestyle collection, merging two Manchester icons in an eye-catching capsule.

United have been walking out to ‘This is the One’ at Old Trafford for over 20 years, so this Madchester collab should come as no surprise. Taking the distinctive design from The Stone Roses’ self-titled debut album, adidas just dropped the perfect music x football collection for lovers of rock and roll and the Red Devils. 

The Jackson Pollock-inspired album artwork comes to life in the collection, with a paint splattered ‘This is the One’ football scarf and bucket hat, as well as a monochromatic pre-match shirt. A reversible anthem jacket features the ‘Bye Bye Badman’ graphic on one side, and a sleek, black and gold colourway on the other. 

The standout piece from the collection is no doubt the ‘Bye Bye Badman’ kit, though. The green, black and white paint forms the base of the kit, complemented by red, white and blue Three Stripes that mimic the three brushstrokes on the album cover. The iconic Stone Roses lemon motif is printed on the back collar.
