Images via Instagram PUMA has unveiled a lifestyle collection ahead of next year’s Africa Cup of Nations, kitting out fans of Morocco, Senegal, Ghana, Ivory Coast and Egypt in the process.Although AFCON doesn’t kick off until January next year, the German brand’s FtblCulture range is making sure fans have the chance to rep their nations all year round with their newest drop. Drawing inspiration from each nation’s flag, mascot and wider culture, the collection celebrates each team through geometric designs across T-shirts, tracksuits, hoodies and a range of accessories. Morocco’s kaleidoscope detailing incorporates a lion’s mane, a nod to the three-time African National Team of the Year’s nickname: Atlas Lions. Senegal’s range champions the colours – green, yellow and red – that make up the West African nation’s flag, whilst Ghana’s is filled with distinctive Kente cloth, setting the Black Stars apart from the rest of the continent. The orange and green of Ivory Coast is complemented by a white diamond-like design with ‘Les Elephant’ written across the back of the nation’s lifestyle jersey and track jacket. Egypt’s red garments are decorated with motifs similar to those found in traditional Egyptian art and textiles. The AFCON FtblCulture collection is available to purchase on the PUMA website and select retailers.Take a closer look at the collection below.
