After teasing the collaboration with ‘Made in Manchester’ posters last week, Manchester-based streetwear brand Drama Call has released a first look at its adidas x Manchester united retro jersey.

A modified replica of the Red Devils’ iconic 1988 third kit, the blue jersey features a subtle, MUFC jacquard stripe print. The club’s old crest and the adidas Trefoil logo all reference the design of the late ‘80s, while the Sharp shirt sponsor makes its return to club merchandise. In bold white text, ‘Drama’ decorates the right side of the kit, with the brand’s trademark four-pointed stars on the opposite side.

On the back, a boldfaced ‘Drama’ again replaces the player’s name and in lieu of shirt numbers, the streetwear mavericks combine the past and the present with the years 1988 and 2023 stacked on top of each other.

The brand teased a release date in the coming weeks, giving the game time to prepare for the much-anticipated homegrown drop.
