Jameson have teamed up with Classic Football Shirts to release five limited-edition whiskey bottles which pay homage to some of the most iconic away jerseys in British football history.

The drop arrives as the latest installment of Jameson’s partnership with the EFL and celebrates the essence of the football league.

With the help of Classic Football Shirts, five clubs have been selected with each kit-inspired bottle telling its own unique story.

The clubs honoured in this drop include South London’s Charlton Athletic, the South Coast’s Portsmouth, Northern representation in the form Sunderland, Midlands heritage in Leicester City and a sprinkle of propa’ football heritage from the Wirral Peninsula in Tranmere Rovers.

The Leicester-inspired number takes inspiration from their popular green alternative kit from 1984, which was worn by club legend Gary Lineker, whilst Charlton’s represents golden times at The Valley with an ode to their first season in the Premier League.

Portsmouth’s yellow jersey from the same year is a notorious fan favourite, whilst Tranmere’s bottle is another historic number paying tribute to the club's 1991 playoff final victory at Wembley.

Sunderland have a similar theme, with their bottle being a nod to the famous white kit worn in the early '90s, as it featured in the 1992 FA Cup final.

Jameson and the EFL will also be celebrating the launch of the bottles with five exclusive pop-up events with each club ahead of the playoff finals – a culmination of celebrating club heritage and the opportunity to meet club legends, too.

The EFL is a cornerstone of British culture, so it only makes sense for the establishment to be celebrated in a real manner that connects to fans.

The limited-edition bottles are available for purchase from the April 2 via Amazon and select retailers.
