Nando’s has added a new star signing to its sauce roster, with Bukayo Saka unveiling his own ‘PERi-PERi Saka’ limited-edition sauce for foodies to douse on their wings.

The Arsenal winger worked with the Nando’s team to merge all his favourite flavours with the chain’s iconic PERi-PERi. The result? A fiery combination of smoky BBQ and tomato. Sweet with a little kick that works magic on a wing – much like Saka himself. 

The bottle ties the collaboration together perfectly, with 'Saka' spelled out with chili peppers on a blue background. The bottle was designed by Reuben Dangoor, and seeing as he created the stunning artwork wrapping Emirates Stadium, it was only right to get a Gunners-approved artist on the job.

On announcing the sauce, Saka said: “The sauce mixes sweet, spiciness and smokiness. I love it and can’t wait for everyone to try it. I’ve been going to Nando’s since I was little so to have my own PERi-PERi sauce in every restaurant in the country is quite mad!”

“My family’s really important to me so I wanted to make sure they liked it, too. As soon as my Dad said he was a fan, I knew it was the one.”

This isn’t the first time Nando’s has linked up with a baller to create a new PERi-PERi. In 2020, the restaurant joined forces with Nike and Jadon Sancho to unveil a bespoke ‘Sancho Sauce.’

PERi-PERi Saka is available at sauce stations in all Nando’s restaurants across the UK and Ireland for a limited time.
