Nike has just dropped the 2018 England national teams football kits, and they definitely have not disappointed.
Containing all the classic detailing associated with an England shirt – the rose, the St. George's Cross and the Three Lions – the kits will also feature Nike’s latest game-changing kit innovation, which fast-forwards the traditional colour patterns of white, red and blue across the new home and away kits into the present day, where optimism is yet again becoming rife ahead of the Men's World Cup.
The results are very, very solid, with both kits looking like one of the cleanest collections of England kits in recent years. The Home kit arrives in a classic white shirt, blue short, white sock look accented by red trimming, with a small St. George’s Cross and small silver star marking 1966 embellished above the crest.
The Away kit again pays homage to 1966, with the same red shirt, white short, red sock combo that became immortalized by Bobby Moore et al being given a modern makeover and the latest innovations in Nike's new Fast Fit Vaporknit technology.
These kits contain brand new, bespoke Nike technology, such as improved optimal breathability, high-tech crest and increased airflow through the shirt's new Vaporknit technology.
Then there's the England collection, which consists of a pre-game shirt, Nike Sportswear Tech Fleece tracksuits and distinctive black and deep-blue training gear, as well as a pure white Anthem Jacket which will be worn by the Men's Team as they walk out ready to compete for international duty in Russia.
The collection will also be worn by one of the most promising generations of England youth teams in recent history – who won the U-20 Toulon and World Cup, U-19 European and U-17 World Cup Championships in 2017 – as well as the England Women's team, who were semi-finalists at the Women's Euros last year.
