Iconic TV music station Channel AKA (formerly known as Channel U) will be broadcasting for the very last time today.
Launched in 2003, Channel U provided a first insight into the worlds of grime and UK urban music videos for many, with some absolutely legendary artists launching their careers with the UK underground mainstay.

More recently rebranded as Channel AKA since 2009, the likes of Lethal Bizzle, Chipmunk, and N-Dubz all began their fledgling careers with the channel. It marks the end of an era of music tv that many people grew up on and a formative part of underground UK music.
