Arsenal are launching a dating show for the club’s single fans called ‘The Big Match’.
The North London side announced plans for the documentary-style series last Friday, in which Gooners will be set up on blind dates centred around Arsenal games.
In the announcement, the club said: “Matchdays at the Emirates Stadium are a time to connect with the beautiful game – and each other. It’s for this reason that we’re launching a new dating show that celebrates how a shared love for football can prove a catalyst for an even deeper romance.”
The show is currently in the casting stage, with single Arsenal fans across the UK invited to apply via the club’s website. Applicants must be 18 or over, single and living in the UK – the application deadline is April 11.
The plan is for potential couples to meet at a local venue before heading to the Emirates together, with cameras following them every step of the way.
There are few clubs who could legitimately launch a dating show and Arsenal's one of them. Juss Jerk pre-match munch, bevs at the Tollington and three points? Surely that's enough to make anyone fall in love.
