EA Sports continue to build the hype towards FIFA 20 with the drop of the game’s official ‘Gameplay Trailer’.
While the first look at FIFA 20 last month revealed the franchise would be returning to the streets in the form of new small-sided mode Volta Football, this second trailer takes a look at how FIFA’s more traditional gameplay has been improved for the new release.
The most exciting change is the rewritten set pieces in FIFA 20, which gives players more control and creativity over how they choose to strike a dead ball. You can now choose how to add curl, dip, or knuckle to free kicks – and a new aiming mechanic gives you more accuracy from the penalty spot.
The game will also see a bigger emphasis on skill moves and all-round tekky play – favouring the likes of Raheem Sterling and Jadon Sancho, who have both been heavily featured in the trailers so far. ‘Dynamic 1v1s’ will give attackers more options to get past defenders, with more natural and realistic movement
FIFA 20 will also address ball physics, with the ball now moving more naturally in the air or on the ground than in any game before. More authentic spins and bounces create a true-to-life match experience, while previously unseen shot types – like first-time rising shots – become possible in FIFA 20.
