J Hus is enjoying a deserved time in the limelight at the minute, where he’s fresh from being nominated for a Mercury Prize for his debut album ‘Common Sense,’ winning a MOBO and now up for three BRIT Awards, including British Breakthrough Act.

Now Hus has linked up with Beats in the latest installment of their Dr. Dre Beat x Beat series, alongside his right-hand man and go-to producer, JAE5, for a look at how they made their Platinum track ‘Did You See.’

Speaking about the track, J Hus says, “Before releasing Did You See I’m not going to lie to ya, I felt a bit nervous, I didn’t release for a long time, it was like over a year properly. It felt like a come back for me. At that moment in time I went through a lot of things, life was kind of hectic, but it just felt like yeah, ‘J Hus is here to stay’. I made my mark, it did a lot for me still I’m not going to lie to you”.

The video looks at the pairs’ chemistry in the studio, where they combined to make Hus’ breakout hit. They discuss how ‘Did You See’ came about, as well as performing the track and their plans for new music together. Check out the visuals above to watch all the magic unfold.
