Whilst we’ve seen no shortage of World Cup-themed capsule collection in recent weeks, Lyon-based brand MIRAK’s clothing stood out to us in style.

The collection, titled “An Ode To African Football”, revolves around Mirak FC’s number 10 jerseys, hats and t-shirts, with a distinctive tribute to African football coming in the choice of colours to the graphic design on each piece, with 4 tees having created by Cameroonian artist Abel “Nmags” Nyoko.

The tees in question also present historical scenes of African World Cup history, from Tunisia in 1978 to Senegal 2002’s heroics versus France, through to Roger Milla’s cornr flag antics and up until Luis Suarez’s infamous goal-line save against Ghana in the quarter-finals of the 2010 World Cup.

Check out the Mirak® Athletics lookbook of the new collection below.
