Wilfried Zaha goes back to his roots for the first time since 1997 in 'Coming Home', an intimate documentary from Palace TV.
The 25-year-old was called up by the Ivory Coast national team for their crucial World Cup qualifier against Morocco last month and the winger invited a TV crew with him to Abidjan, for his first visit to the country in 20 years.
The Zaha family left Ivory Coast for London in 1997 and unrest in the country made it difficult for the family to return. Zaha has always kept close links with his place of birth – funding a football tournament in his suburb every year – and this film shows the love and pride Zaha feels in reconnecting with his heritage.
