Image via Getty Ecuadorian teenager Kendry Páez became the youngest player to score in a CONMEBOL World Cup qualifier as he opened the scoring in a 2-1 win against Bolivia last week.At 16 years and 161 days, he adds yet another record to his belt. Páez currently holds the title of youngest debutant and goalscorer in Ecuador’s top-flight, scoring on his debut at the age of 15. He is also the youngest player to ever score at an U20 World Cup. Currently at Independiente del Valle, the wonderkid has already agreed to join Chelsea for a fee of £17.27m. Due to current, post-Brexit regulations, Premier League clubs cannot formally sign international players until they turn 18. The earliest Páez can make an appearance for the Blues will be in 2025.Until then, this rising star is likely to keep lighting up Ecuadorian football, breaking records every chance he can.
