Callum Hudson-Odoi is finally set to return from his long-term injury as he looks to play a part for Chelsea U23's game against Brighton tomorrow.
The 18-year-old has been sidelined for the past five months after suffering a ruptured Achilles while playing for Chelsea against Burnley towards the end of last season, just as he was hitting a rich vein of form.
Hudson-Odoi has made an incredible recovery time, with the severity of Achilles injuries usually keeping players out of action for much longer. Initially expected to resume training in late October, Hudson-Odoi returned to training in August and is now targeting a return to the first team next month.

Speaking about his return from injury, Hudson-Odoi said, "Recovery has gone really well, I feel good so hopefully, I’ll be back after the international break. It was something that I was scared would take longer but recovery has gone really well and quick for myself and I’m happy everything has gone to plan."
Hudson-Odoi is also reportedly set to put pen to paper on a new long-term contract worth £180,000-a-week at Stamford Bridge after months of speculation about his future.
