Converse takes strides towards a sustainable future with the launch of their Renew Canvas collection.
With calls for fashion to take strong steps towards creating sustainable products, several brands have stepped up to the plate and updated their fabric choices for the sake of reducing their carbon footprint. The latest brand to join the fray is Converse with the launch of their Renew Canvas collection which sees their iconic product lines recreated using 100% recycled polyester.
The collection sees the Chuck Taylor All Star, Chuck 70, and low iterations of both, recreated using Converse's new rPET yarn. Developed to parallel the properties of the silhouette's original canvas build, this material is developed as a 00% recycled polyester made from used plastic bottles.
