Wayne Rooney threw it back to 2008 this past weekend.
The Everton striker laced up a pair of legendary Nike Total 90 Laser II boots for his club's match against Brighton & Hove Albion, scoring in the process.
Total 90 was Nike's product line that defined football in the mid-00s, with Wayne Rooney as its banner athlete. The boot represents Rooney at his prime, when he was a world class striker for both England and Manchester United.
Rooney's choice of boot was a pleasant surprise to many and the fact it was all black made it even more popular.
