Erling Haaland's status as football's most famous free agent could soon be coming to an end, with reports circulating that he's set to join Nike as one of the brand's biggest stars.
The Manchester City striker has rotated between PUMA, adidas and Nike boots since the beginning of last year, with Haaland and his team keeping his options open ahead of an official boot deal that could be worth somewhere in the region of £20 million per year.

As reported by David Ornstein for The Athletic, Haaland is now set to sign a major deal with Nike having worn the Zoom Mercurial Superfly boot consistently in recent months.
While the monetary value of the player's boot deal is important, it's said that comfort and performance is the priority for Haaland – which is why he's been cycling through different brands and models in recent months to try and find the perfect fit.
Speculation for Haaland's eventual partner has been rife, with the 22-year-old in a credible position to be one of the future faces of the game. It was thought PUMA could be a logical partner as Manchester City's long-term kit supplier, while adidas are in desperate need of someone to be the long-term star of the brand as Leo Messi's retirement edges closer.
With 33 goals in 33 games across all competitions so far this season, there's no doubt Haaland's eventual boot partner will get a lot of spotlight.
