adidas and Prada have unveiled a joint football boot collection, mixing the Italian luxury brand’s sophisticated trademarks with adidas’ high-performance technology.

Fashion and football collaborations have become commonplace recently, but those partnerships rarely venture into arguably the most important aspect of football kits – the boots. This collection combines both brands’ DNA seamlessly, creating luxurious editions of adidas’ most popular silhouettes.

The collection features the Predator Accuracy, X Crazyfast, and Copa Pure boots, updated in Italian leather and sleek colourways.

The Predator Accuracy is reimagined in black nubuck leather and wrapped in ‘Fusion Skin’ for a lightweight finish, whilst Prada’s trademark ‘Linea Rossa’ stripe splits the boot’s tongue and heel. Small, rubber spikes in the same shade of red as the iconic stripe decorate the front of the boot for optimised ball control and accuracy.

The X Crazyfast arrives in crisp white premium leather, that’s also been mixed with ‘Fusion Skin’, and incorporates the same ‘Linea Rossa’ as the Predator. In another nod to Prada, the boot’s signature mono-mesh material is formed using triangular detailing, whilst also using adidas’ innovative SPEEDFRAME technology to finish the lightweight design.

Lastly, the Copa Pure pays homage to both brand’s extensive archives. The shimmering, silver boot is moulded out of leather, with a leather lace cover synonymous with adidas styles of the past. The full-leather shoe offers delicate control on the ball whilst its traditional quilting adds soft cushioning to the forefoot.

The adidas Football for Prada collection will be available in limited numbers on the adidas CONFIRMED app from 22–25 May 2023, as well the Prada website and selected Prada stores.
