For the first time, all of Arsenal’s kits for the 2024/25 season will feature the cannon emblem instead of the club’s badge according to The Athletic.

The change comes after adidas replaced the Gunners badge with the cannon on this season’s third kit – a change The Three Stripes also tried out with other clubs including Manchester United, Bayern Munich, and Roma.

The minimalistic look has been a hit with fans, further capitalised on by adidas’ LFSTLR range transforming this season’s third kits into streetwear classics. However, the change to all of the club’s kits is one that hasn’t been seen in over 30 years.

The last time an Arsenal home kit featured the cannon instead of the badge was in the 1989-90 season. Before that, it was the late ‘70s.

The change may be major, but considering the popularity of the current third kit and the undeniable visual identity of the Arsenal’s cannon, next season’s trifecta could be one for the ages. The culture club strikes again.
