Designed by Nike, the Thorns FC 2023 Away kit is both audacious and authentic thanks to it being rooted in the city’s artistry.

“We are excited about the unique and creative features of our new kit,” said Thorns FC General Manager, Karina LeBlanc. “As a former Thorns FC player, I appreciate the historical elements highlighted by the original logo and the acknowledgement of the club’s first season in the NWSL.”

The striking Away jersey is as bold and unique as the city itself, speaking to both the artistry exhibited by players on the pitch and the creativity of the club’s incredible fans. It’s bold, unique, unapologetic and undeniably Portland.

A dagger cuts through the centralized badge, a first-time feature for a Thorns FC kit, and is surrounded by rose thorns with a banner reading: "Rose City til I die". The club's founding year, 2013, appears in Roman numerals above the crest, whilst a large rose (complete with thorns, of course) is placed on each shoulder.

The club's choice to use their heritage crest - appearing in its original black, red and green colours - is a nod to the Thorns early days in the NWSL and honours the players who've carried the 'Rose City' with pride on their shoulders from day one.

The shirt's tattoo-inspired designs are portrayed in classic Americana style, and considering the club’s close connection with the city and its fans, we've no doubt were drawn or at least inspired by local artists.

The new jersey is available to purchase now exclusively via the PTFC Authentics store.
